Kay is the son of Sir Ector and the adoptive older brother of Arthur Pendragon. He leaves his hometown with Arthur when Merlin informs Arthur of his birthright. Subsequently, he is appointed the Marshall of Britain. He is of great support to King Arthur, providing his opinions when necessary. He is also not afraid to speak his mind, when he quarreled with Arthur when he realizes that he had betrayed Leontes.
